Procedures_Used
Hard copy maps digitized by the Michigan Natural Features Inventory using
Intergraph Microstation. Michigan Resource Information System (MIRIS) data
used as base reference. Digitized into three files in the Michigan state
plane coordinate system. Converted to ARCINFO coverages using igdsarc
command. Cleaned in ARCINFO. Projected to Michigan GEOREF coordinate system
by MDNR Land and Mineral Services Division, Resource Mapping & Aerial Photography Section.
All three coverages joined together using append command.
Reviews_Applied_to_Data
Final data compared to original hard copy to assure accuracy of line work
and attribution.
