description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>Areas with coherence values below 0.23 were converted into a dense point dataset representing active dune locations. At each point, eastward (Dx) and northward (Dy) movement rates were extracted from autoRIFT’s offset outputs. These points were then projected forward to future positions based on their annual movement rates and the number of years from the 2023 baseline to target years (2040, 2060, 2080, and 2100), assuming a constant movement rate and direction. The point datasets were then intersected with the road and urban area polygons extracted from ESA’s land use map, identifying areas of urban areas and road networks at high risk of dune encroachment over the next 100 years. In total, 4476 points, each representing the centroid of a 15 m pixel, were projected to intersect with infrastructure by the year 2100.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
