Service Description: The Landsat 4–5 Thematic Mapper (TM) Annual Mosaic Image Service (1984–2012) provides historical, cloud-minimized mosaics at 30m spatial resolution. The mosaics are generated from surface reflectance products, derived from multispectral TM data (Bands 1–7), covering visible, near-infrared, shortwave infrared, and thermal ranges. Annual mosaics were produced using scenes primarily from the growing season to minimize cloud contamination. Function templates provide users with spectral indices such as NDVI and NDWI, as well as false-color composites for enhanced interpretation. This dataset enables long-term analysis of land cover change, vegetation dynamics, water resource monitoring, and climate change impacts across multiple decades.
