This proposal builds on findings from our (Western Michigan University) joint project with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) in which areas of land deformation were delineated and the land deformation rates were extracted. An executive summary of the earlier project are listed below.
The accomplished tasks and findings from the project-related activities throughout the project include: (1) processing of the GPS stations provided by MME, (2) completion of the processing of the ENVISAT data given results from the GPS stations, (3) processing of Sentinel-1 data using SARscape and extraction of land-deformation from Small BAseline Subset (SBAS) products, (4) processing of ALOS PALSAR-1 data using SARscape and extraction of land-deformation from SBAS products (5) identification of the potential factors causing the observed deformation, (6) augmentation of the web-based GIS, and (7) training of a Qatari delegation for 6 weeks at WMU.
